Difference between angioplasty and coronary bypass surgery

All of you never wish to hear from your doctor: "Your arteries are blocked." After the initial panic and tensed mood, you think about all the cheeseburgers, meats, oily fast food items and the milk foods you've eaten over the years. You visualise every French fry as a crunchy and delicious little grim reaper. Every egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches will mock at you.
The sole good news then is that coronary artery disease (CAD) is very common and you have plenty of options at the initial stages, both surgical and non-invasive. One in every three Americans suffers from some kind of cardiovascular disease.Nine million of these Americans suffer from angina -- discomfort in the arms, lower jaw or chest due to reduced blood circulation to your heart. The blood circulation is reduced because of blockage from the buildup of plaque on the artery walls due to many factors including poor diet, a lack of exercise, heredity and whether you're a smoker.
